Product Destruction and Depackaging Systems

Andela’s Product Destruction and Depackaging Crushers/Breakers are engineered to destroy and depackage a wide range of products in both glass and aluminum containers.

By targeting frangible and collapsible packaging, our technology extracts liquids and renders products unusable and unsaleable—ideal for waste-stream reduction, secure product disposal, and regulatory compliance.

How It Works

  • Feeding Mechanism: Items are fed into the crusher/breaker through a metering surge hopper and/or a conveyor belt. This can be manual or automated, depending on the type and scale of the system. Gaylord or bin tippers are available options.
  • Crusher/Breaker Mechanism: Once inside our system, expired products encounter rotating hammers that destroy via impact and shear forces. Frangible items are crushed, while non-glass materials are pummeled and punctured but remain in a larger size.
  • Separation: Next, the trommel screen divides these outputs into glass cullet and aluminum, steel, and oversize residue.
  • Collection and Disposal: Released liquids, organics, and non-organics can be collected for further processing and/or disposal.
